Stop Choking Down Green Tea and Get Green Tea Capsules

Posted on: June 28, 2011

You may not agree with me, but I think green tea tastes nasty. Even knowing how healthy it is doesn't help; I just can't drink the stuff. For me, drinking a cup of green tea at every meal would ruin my appetite. And I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Lots of people want the benefits of green tea extract, but they just can't force themselves to drink the tea. Maybe if you live in a tea drinking culture, it's easy to make the transition, but I'm from the US and people here generally don't drink tea unless we're sick.

So what's the solution for the non-tea drinkers among us?

The answer is green tea capsules.

They are more convenient and, actually, the health benefits you receive from them are more powerful. Why? It's because you are getting green tea in the standardized extract form; this is the most potent and highest absorbed form available. In the drinking tea, the beneficial chemicals called polyphenols are in a lower concentration. This is why you have to drink so many cups each day.

Besides the higher potency and greater absorption, there is one more reason to consider green tea capsules. They come decaffeinated. This is great news to those of us who try to avoid caffeine. I have a hard time falling asleep as it is; drinking a cup of green tea at dinner and before bed would just make me more sleep-deprived.

So, now you have no excuse for missing out on the benefits of green tea extract. And you have three good reason for taking green tea capsules instead of drinking the tea:

Quality of Life - You can drink whatever you like at meal and snack times.

Convenience - Brewing tea is a hassle. But you can take capsules anywhere.

Caffeine - Capsules won't keep you up nights.

Your next step? Now, you might be warming to the idea of a green tea capsules. STOP! Before you do that, I want to give you a money-saving tip: Don't buy single-nutrient supplements. They are almost always overpriced and less effective---a double whammy.

It's much smarter to buy a multi-nutrient supplement (containing green tea extract), because it includes a wide range of nutrients like vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and herbal extracts. At my website, I expand on this topic and discuss how a nutrient, when taken together with other nutrients, often becomes more effective. This is called synergy; I encourage you to visit and learn how to maximize the benefits of green tea extract.
